I get furious when anyone, especially a man, calls me honey or sweetie. The problem is I work at a book store and have to help people who call me this on a regular basis. It happened today and all I could do was stare blankly and say under my breath "my name is not sweetie". While I understand that I don't have on a nametag (we aren't allowed), is there any way I can politely tell the person that I don't like this? Am I being irrational? I feel like people think I am for this.

You aren’t being irrational at all. I think the main thing to remember here is consent- and if you aren’t giving it then people shouldn’t be calling you by those names. Consent applies to a lot more than sex, its always important for everyone to remember this!
