I am a graduate student studying in Worcester, MA. I am also a peer sex educator, reproductive justice activist, and feminist.

This blog is about sex-positivity, sex-ed, feminism, reproductive justice, birth justice, intersectionality, and activism.

Say it one more time with me now….

Just because a television show, movie, or piece of music is problematic doesn’t mean a feminist cannot watch/listen to/like them. If it did, there wouldn’t really be much in terms of media you could watch/listen to/like. Since things like misogyny, patriarchy, and racism are embedded in our society and culture, it is reflected in our media and will continue to be for as long as we are dealing with these issues. 

It is important to recognize, call out, and criticize these things, but that doesn’t mean we can’t watch and enjoy some problematic television programs, or that there aren’t aspects of some programs that are worthy of noting despite having major flaws elsewhere.
