In case you missed it, I have teamed up with Lelo to give away a Soraya Vibe in honor of International Women’s Day! So far, only six people have entered to win so the odds are in your favor. Be sure to go here and reblog/reply to the post with a short blurb about the woman who has most inspired you (family member, friend, celebrity, politician, etc.) by Friday!

Its almost International Women’s Day, and Lelo wants to celebrate with us! Every year on March 8, International Women’s Day is celebrated world-wide as a day to remember the achievements of women and to push for progressive change in the status of women.  This year’s theme A Promise is a Promise seeks to end violence against women internationally. Why is this still important you may ask? According to the United Nation’s International Women’s Day Website :

  • Up to 50% of sexual assaults are committed against girls under the age of 16.
  • Globally, 603 million women live in countries where domestic violence is not yet considered a crime.
  • Up to 70% of women in the world report having experienced physical and/or sexual violence at some point in their lifetime.
  • Over 60 million girls worldwide are child brides, married before the age of 18.

The wonderful people over at Lelo are committed to empowering women around the world and to celebrating all of the important recent achievements in women’s rights and equality. In honor of International Women’s Day, I am once again partnering with Lelo to give away an amazing toy to one lucky reader! This time we will be giving away a Soraya, a rechargeable waterproof dual-action vibrator with 8 different vibrating modes.

Entering this giveaway is simple, just reblog or reply to this post telling us a story about which woman in your life (family member, friend, celebrity, politician, role model, etc) has inspired you the most and why. The person with the best story will take home their very own beautiful Soraya vibe and will be published on my page! A winner will be chosen on International Women’s Day, this Friday March 8th.

Want a second chance to win? Head on over to Lelo’s Facebook page where they are giving away another Soraya vibe. Make sure to like their page and follow the instructions for your chance to win!

Good luck!

collective-history:

A sculpted and polished phallus found in a German cave is among the earliest representations of male sexuality ever uncovered, it is approximately  28,000 years old.

Its life size suggests it may well have been used as a sex aid (dildo).

In addition to being a symbolic representation of male genitalia, it was also at times used for knapping flints

In the enlightened times we live in, we’re now more conscious than ever of choosing products that are not only safe for our bodies, but the environment as well. If our lettuce is organic, our eggs are free-range, and our coffee is fair trade – what about our sex toys?

Unlike products such as food containers, babies’ teething toys, and eating utensils, the industry we operate in can sometimes turn a blind eye the regulation and independent testing that products of like ours deserve, and we are among the voices saying that it is time for this to change. For anyone who wants a small-ish vibrator for almost free (only pay shipping), go to this link and enter your email. I’m not sure if everyone gets the same toy as the one above, but you might as well give it a shot. I just really want one, and I’m not adverse to paying $5 for it, even if it’s pink with (sealed-in) rhinestones.

Also check out this site… cause it has some sweet review videos.

Um.. That’s not the one they’re offering right now. Your link is valid, but you’ve got the wrong picture up. The one they’re offering is the one below. It’s what shows up on their front page, and when you click the link you provided.
