Hi everyone! I just wanted to give you all some quick updates about exciting new things coming up on this blog, and things I’ve found while looking around Tumblr as of late. First, if you haven’t already seen it, please check out my most recent original post on writing a letter to the editor. You’ll notice that it is part of the BCIAW Activists Toolkit, which is a project I am currently working on bringing to you. I’m hoping that this will shape up into a group of posts with concrete ways to take action around the causes you care about. My biggest roadblock thus far has been in coming up with things to include in this toolkit, so if you have any ideas about a post that could fit in here please let me know!
I am so wonderfully excited to let you all know that I am coming up on a really really big follower milestone, (I’m less than 20 followers out)! When I hit it, I’ll be giving away some really wonderful things that I’ve been stashing away for a rainy day, including some toys that I have featured on this blog in the past, sex ed books, and safer sex supplies. Keep your eyes out for ways to win the coming week or so!
In my travels around Tumblr as of late I have also noticed that some fantastic organizations have joined our community. Welcome IPAS and The Feminist Press! I would definitely recommend checking out their blogs and following them if you’re interested in learning more about the causes BCIAW deals with.
Last but not least, I’m looking for some books that I can’t really afford to drop much money on right now. I’m really hoping to read them, and perhaps even send some book reviews your way. If you have one of them and would like to trade it for other books, safer sex supplies, or something else of the sort I’m sure we can work something out! I just wanted to let you all know that for the entire month of January I will be doing a giveaway each week with the Dollar Rubber Club. At the end of every week one winner will be chosen and sent a 12 pack of condoms.
As promised, I also have a bunch of really special stuff stashed for when I hit my next big follower milestone, which I am just a couple hundred people away from. When that happens I’ll be picking a couple of people and sending some great stuff their way!
My apologies for spamming everyone with giveaways as of late. Tis the season to giveaway free stuff! I imagine after January it will all slow down.
